Seasoned Cooking Base - Cream of Chicken Soup
Serves: 6
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp. Butter or margarine
1/2 cup Celery, diced 1/4”
1/2 cup Carrots, peeled and diced
3 cups Water
1 Tbsp. and 2 tsp. Glory Foods® Chicken Seasoned Cooking Base
1 cup Chicken, cooked and diced 1/2”
1 cup Heavy cream
1/2 cup Cold water
3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
Directions
Melt butter in a two-quart saucepan or larger. Add carrots and celery, and cook over low heat until softened, but not brown.
Stir in the larger amount of water, Glory Foods® Chicken Seasoned Cooking Base, chicken and heavy cream. Simmer the soup for 10 minutes.
Mix the remaining 1/2 cup of cold water and cornstarch together.
While whisking the soup, pour the cornstarch mixture in, constantly stirring until it thickens.
Simmer for an additional 5 minutes on medium heat and serve.
