Southern Caviar Dip

Southern Caviar DipThis Southern favorite is delicious as either a dip or a side dish. Our version is vegan, all-natural, and lower in sodium.  A healthy compliment to any main course.Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

1 15-oz. can Glory Foods Sensibly Seasoned Blackeye Peas, drained1/4 cup red bell pepper, diced 1/4"1/4 cup green onions, sliced 1/8"1 teaspoon pickled jalapeno peppers, minced1 teaspoon garlic, minced1/4 teaspoon cumin, ground1/4 teaspoon black pepper, ground1 teaspoon lime juice1 tablespoon cilantro leaves, mincedPrepared tortillas chips, fresh vegetables or crackers for dipping.

Directions

  1. Combine drained Glory Foods Sensibly Seasoned Blackeye Peas with all of the other ingredients in a bowl or small casserole and mix.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours to allow the best flavor to develop.
  3. Serve with your favorite chips, fresh vegetables or cracker
