Representatives from Glory foods announced today that the company was awarded “Best Theme” in the “Cantribution” canned goods sculpture contest, which was held at Magnolia Mall in Florence S.C. in July.

Glory Foods constructed a 2,130-pound, six foot canned food sculpture, which was displayed for Magnolia Mall shoppers for several days. After shoppers viewed a variety of canned food sculptures they had the opportunity to participate in voting for their favorite display. Once the judging was completed and the votes were in, Glory Foods donated one pallet of its products to Harvest Hope of Florence County/PeeDee area.

“This was such a fun event for us to participate in and we are even more excited in receiving an award for ‘Best Theme,’” said Woody Swink, vice president of sales and marketing for McCall Farms, parent company of Glory Foods. “Aside from winning an award, we find more satisfaction in helping to make a difference for those in the Florence/PeeDee community by donating 2,130 pounds of canned goods to Harvest Hope.”
