Fried Apple Cobbler For Father’s Day

Everyone knows that dads love dessert. This Southern classic will bring a smile to his face. Our Fried Apple Cobbler with Dad's favorite ice cream?  A dessert that's sure to please.From all of us to all of you, happy Father's Day!Serves: 8-10


2 15-1/2 oz. cans Glory Foods Fried Apples, drained, reserving 1/2 cup of liquid1 cup brown sugar1/8 teaspoon nutmeg, ground1/8 teaspoon cinnamon, ground1/8 teaspoon clove, ground1/4 cup all purpose flour1 7-1/2 oz. box Glory Foods Corn Muffin Mix1/2 cup pecans, chopped1 egg


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine drained Glory Foods Fried Apples with sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and flour. Place in a round, greased, 1-quart 8"x 8"x 2" glass casserole dish.
  3. Combine Glory Foods Corn Muffin Mix with pecans, egg, and reserved liquid from Glory Foods Fried Apples.
  4. Pour the prepared muffin mix over apples evenly.
  5. Reduce the temperature to 325 degrees and place on the center rack of the oven. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes.
  6. Remove the cobbler from the oven and let stand for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
