September 18, 2012

September 18, 2012, Columbus, Ohio -- Chris Cioban, a Chicago resident, won a $150 Visa gift card in the Glory Foods Summer Recipe Contest for his down-home version of sweet potato casserole.

Alexandra Johnson, a Riverside, Calif., resident, won a $75 gift card for her apple pie cake recipe using Glory Foods® Fried Apples, which earned her second place.

Fans at www.facebook.com/gloryfoods chose the winners.

“We congratulate our winners and look forward to announcing many more cooking contests in the near future,” said Dan Charna, vice president of operations for Glory Foods.

Each contest entrant will receive, via email, a Glory Foods PDF cookbook of all recipe admissions.

“The versatility of Glory Foods was showcased in our summer recipe contest,” Charna said. “Contestants used a variety of our products to make mouthwatering meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner – all of them were straightforward recipes that required 30 minutes or less to prepare.’’
