2017 Southeastern Wildlife Exposition

The Glory Foods team attended the annual Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) in Charleston, SC the week of Valentine’s Day, and we had a GLORIOUS time handing out Seasoned Red Beans & Rice, Blackeye Peas, Sweet Traditions Fried Apples, and 'Not Just Chocolate' Cake in the Certified SC food tent!

SEWE is a three-day celebration of wildlife and nature through fine art, conservation education, sporting demonstrations, food, drink and the people who honor them all. The largest event of its kind in the U.S., SEWE receives more than 40,000 attendees each year.

The Glory Foods crew was serving up samples in the South Carolina Department of Agriculture Certified SC food tent amid cooking demonstrations and additional food and drink vendors offering samples. We shared a space with our sister brands, Margaret Holmes and Peanut Patch Boiled Peanuts. Amanda McNulty, host of Making it Grow, joined us on day one to help hand out samples and boy was she a hit!

Lots chowed down on our southern-style seasoned veggies, as well as the sweet & salty Fried Apples. Kids and adults alike were pleasantly surprised to learn that we had baked our greens right into a delicious frosted chocolate cake! People were also very happy to learn that our products are manufactured in South Carolina.

You can learn all about SEWE here. We're already looking forward to next year!
