In 2006 Glory Foods introduced Sensibly Seasoned™, a new line of heat-and-serve vegetables and side dishes that are lower sodium, low fat and meatless. And once again, in 2007, Glory Foods introduced yet another innovation in Southern-style cooking–two new and unique products, Savory Accents Cooking Base and Seasoned Cooking Base. Scholarships offered at The Ohio State University support minority students seeking careers in the Food Service Industry and Agricultural Sciences. The company also formed a partnership with the Southern Foodways Alliance (SFA), an organization that documents and celebrates the diverse food cultures of the American South. In October during the alliance's annual symposium Glory Foods scholarships, named in honor of Glory Foods co-founder the late William F. (Bill) Williams, are awarded to three minority students pursuing degrees in the food arts, hospitality management, or a related field. Students are chosen through an essay writing contest that displays their interest in learning new and interesting ideas about Southern food and culture.
