Fresh - Cabbage with Sausage and Apples
Serves: 5-6
Serving Size: 1 cup
Ingredients
1 Tbsp. Canola oil
1 cup Onion, white, diced 1/2"
1 cup Smoked sausage, diced 1/2"
1/2 Tbsp. Flour, all purpose 
14 oz. Chicken broth, canned or fresh
1 lb. bag Glory Foods® Cut Cabbage
1 15 oz. can Glory Foods® Fried Apples with liquid*
Salt, to taste
1/2 tsp. Black pepper, ground

*Substitute two fresh apples peeled, cored and diced.
Directions
  1. Put oil in a 4-quart pot and place over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft.
  2. Add sausage and cook until slightly brown.
  3. Remove the pot from heat, add flour and mix well.
  4. Return pot to heat and add chicken stock. Dissolv flour completely.
  5. Bring to a boil and reduce the liquid by a third.
  6. Add Glory Foods® Cut Cabbage and return to a boil, cover and cook until tender.
  7. Add Glory Foods® Fried Apple and liquid and heat the mixture thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper.
