Seasoned Cooking Base - Cream of Chicken Soup
Serves: 6
Serving Size: 1 cup
Ingredients
1 Tbsp. Butter or margarine
1/2 cup Celery, diced 1/4”
1/2 cup Carrots, peeled and diced
3 cups Water
1 Tbsp. and 2 tsp. Glory Foods® Chicken Seasoned Cooking Base
1 cup Chicken, cooked and diced 1/2”
1 cup Heavy cream
1/2 cup cold water
3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
Directions
  1. Melt butter in a two-quart saucepan or larger. Add carrots and celery and cook over low heat until softened but not brown.
  2. Stir in the larger amount of water, Glory Foods® Chicken Seasoned Cooking Base, chicken and heavy cream. Simmer the soup for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix the remaining 1/2 cup of cold water and cornstarch together.
  4. While whisking the soup, pour the cornstarch mixture in, contsantly stirring until it thickens.
  5. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes on medium heat and serve.
