Seasoned Cooking Base - Smothered Chicken Breast
Serves: 4
Serving Size: 1 7-8 oz. breast
Ingredients
4 ea. Chicken breasts, skinless, boneless (about 8 oz ea.) 
2 1/2 tsp. Glory Foods® Chicken Seasoned Cooking Base
1 3/4 cup Water
2 Tbsp. Flour, all purpose
1/2 cup Onion, diced 1/8"
1 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
Flour or seasoned flour to dredge chicken, as needed
Vegetable oil spray, as needed 

Seasoned Flour (optional):
1/2 cup Flour, all purpose
1/4 tsp. Poultry seasoning
1/8 tsp. Black pepper, ground
1/2 tsp. Seasoned salt
Directions
  1. Combine flour, water and Glory Foods® Chicken Seasoned Cooking Base.
  2. Dredge chicken breasts in plain flour or seasoned flour. Shake off excess flour.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  4. Heat oil in a 12" oven-proof skillet. Brown chicken on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Once browned, remove breasts from the skillet.
  5. Spray the skillet with vegetable oil spray. Add onions and cook for about 5 minutes over very low heat until slightly browned.
  6. Add the cooking base mixture to the skillet. Cook until sauce thickens.
  7. Place chicken breasts back in skillet, cover with lid and bake in the oven for about 30 to 45 minutes or until tender.
