Seasoned Cooking Base - Beef Stroganoff
Serves: 4
Serving Size: 1 1/4 cup
Ingredients
1 lb. Beef flank steak or tenderloin cut into 2" x 1/4" x 1/4" strips
1 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
1 cup Onions, peeled and thinly sliced
1 cup White mushrooms, washed and thinly sliced
1 Tbsp. White vinegar
1 Tbsp. Glory Foods® Beef Seasoned Cooking Base
1 1/4 cup Water
1/4 cup Water, cold
2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
2 cups Cooked rice or noodles
Directions
  1. Heat a 12" nonstick skillet until hot. Add oil and immediately add the beef strips. Saute, stirring frequently until the beef strips are browned.
  2. Stir in the onions and mushrooms. Reduce heat to medium high and cook, stirring frequently until they are softened and starting to brown.
  3. Dissolve the Glory Foods® Beef Seasoned Cooking Base in 1 1/4 cups of water. Stir into skillet along with white vinegar. Bring to a boil.
  4. Mix the cornstarch with 1/4 cup of cold water until it is lump free. Stir the mixture into the boiling beef and mushrooms. Keep stirring until the mixture thickens.
  5. Reduce the heat and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.
  6. Serve over cooked rice or noodles.
