Creamed Spinach

Serves 6-8  (1/2 cup Servings)






2 Strips  Raw bacon, diced 1/2"
1/4  Cup  Onion, diced 1/4"
1/2 tsp. Garlic, minced
1 Pinch Ground black pepper
1 Pinch Ground nutmeg
1-1/4 Cup  2% Milk, divided into 1 cup and 1/4 cup
2 Tbl. Cornstarch
1 27 oz. Can Glory Foods ® Spinach, drained 
1 Tbl. Grated parmesan cheese




Directions



1. Place the diced bacon and diced onion in a large non-stick saute pan. Cook over  

moderate heat stirring occasionally until the bacon is starting to brown and the onions are soft.
2.  Stir in the pepper and nutmeg, and immediately add one cup of  the milk. 

Heat until simmering. 
3.  Mix the cornstarch with the remaining 1/4 cup of milk. Stir the cornstarch mixture 

into the simmering milk, stirring constantly. Heat until the sauce thickens.
4.  Stir the drained spinach into the sauce. Mix until well combined. 
5.  Heat stirring occasionally until bubbling. Stir in the parmesan cheese. 
6.  Pour into a serving dish and serve immediately.
