Fresh - Cabbage with Sausage and Apples
Serves: 5 to 6
Serving Size: 1 Cup
1 Tbl. Canola oil
1 Cup Onion, white, diced, 1/2"
1 Cup Smoked Sausage, diced, 1/2"
1/2 Tbl. All purpose flour
14 oz. Chicken broth, canned or fresh
1 1 lbs. Bag Glory Foods® Cabbage
1 15 oz. Can Glory Foods® Fried Apples with liquid *
  To Taste Salt
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper, ground
Directions
1. Place the canola oil in a 4 quart pot and set over medium heat. Add onions and cook till soft.
2. Add the sausage and cook till slightly brown.
3. Remove the pot from heat, add the flour and mix well.
4. Return pot to heat and add the chicken stock and disolve the flour completely.
5. Bring to a boil and reduce the liquid by a third
6. Add the cabbage and return to a boil, cover and cook till tender.
7. Add apples and juice and heat the mixture thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper.
*Substitute two fresh apples peeled, cored and diced
