Savory Accent Cooking Base - Skillet Steamed Fresh Vegetables with Savory Seasoning Butter (Margarine)
Serves 4 (1/2 Cup Servings)



2 Tbl. Glory Foods® Savory Accents Cooking Base, Ham or Turkey
2 Tbl. Butter or margarine, at room temperature




Directions:
1. In a small bowl combine the cooking base with butter or margarine. Thoroughly mix.
2. Let stand to blend the flavors-at least 30 minutes.
3. Place the blend in a small tightly covered container. Keep refrigerated after each use.
4. Makes enough to season 3 lbs. of vegetables.



Other Suggestions: Stir into cooked noodles, or rice or potatoes. Excellent brushed on grilled chicken.




Skillet Steamed Fresh Vegetables
4 tsp. Savory Seasoning Butter (Margarine )
1 lbs. Fresh vegetables, prepared and cut
1/2 Cup Water




Directions:
1. Prepare your selection of fresh vegetables.
2. Add water and seasoning butter to a 10" covered skillet. Turn heat to high and dissolve the seasoning butter.
3. Immediately add the vegetables and cover. Gently toss the vegetables while cooking. Add more water if the pan becomes dry before vegetables are done.
4. Steaming time varies with the vegetable type and size of cut. Allow 8-15 minutes for steaming.
