Seasoned Cooking Base - Smothered Chicken Breast

Glory Foods® Seasoned Cooking Base, Chicken

tsp. Water
1-3/4
Cup
All purpose flour

Onion, diced 1/8"
1 Tbl.
Vegetable oil

As needed
Flour or seasoned flour to dredge chicken

As needed
Vegetable oil spray




Seasoned flour

1/2 Cup All purpose flour
1/4 tsp. Poultry seasoning
1/8 tsp. Ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. Seasoned salt





Directions:

1. Combine 2 Tbl. flour, water and Glory Foods® Seasoned Cooking Base (chicken) seasoning.
2. Dredge chicken breasts in flour or seasoned flour. Shake off excess flour.

Heat the oil in a 12" oven-proof skillet having a cover. Brown chicken on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. When browned remove breasts from the skillet.
4.
Spray the skillet with vegetable oil spray, add the onions and cook for about 5 minutes over very low heat until slightly browned.
5.
Add the chicken base and flour or seasoned flour to the skillet. Cook until the sauce thickens.
6. Add back the chicken breasts, cover and back in a 350 degree F oven for about 30-45 minutes or until tender.
