Seasoned Cooking Base - Southern Style Long Cooked Greens
Serves 4 (1/2 Cup Servings)  
     
3        qt.             Water
1        lbs.          Collard, turnip, mustard, kale or mixed greens- prepared, ready to cook
1        Tbl.       Glory Foods® Seasoned Cooking Base, Beef
1        tsp.          Glory Foods® Seasoned Cooking Base, Beef
         
NOTE:   You may substitute Turkey. For Turkey 1Tbs. of cooking base and 1 tsp. granulated sugar.    
       
             Directions:
1.         Mix the water and flavor base in a 2 gallon pot. Stir in the greens     
2.         Heat to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer.    
3.         Simmer covered for 3-31/2 hours depending on how you like your greens cooked.     
4.         The broth will be reduced to  3-4 cups.
