| Seasoned Cooking Base - Smothered Pork Chops |
Serves 4 (1 Chop and sauce Servings) 4 ea. Pork chops (about 7-8 oz. ea.) 2 1/2 tsp. Glory Foods® Seasoned Cooking Base, Chicken 1 3/4 Cup Water 2 Tbl. Corn starch 1/2 Cup Onion, sliced 1/8 " 1 Tbl. Vegetable oil As needed Flour or seasoned flour to dredge pork chops. As needed Vegetable oil spray. Directions: 1. Combine corn starch, water and chicken base. 2. Dredge pork chops in flour or seasoned flour. Shake off any excess flour. 3. Heat the oil in an oven proof skillet having a cover. Brown pork chops on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. When browned remove chops from the skillet. 4. Spray the skillet with vegetable oil spray, add the onions and cook for about 5 minutes till slightly browned. 5. Add the chicken base and corn starch mixture to the skillet. Cook till the sauce thickens. 6. Add back the pork chops, cover and bake in a 350°F oven for about 45 minutes or until tender. |
