Maple Bacon Lima Beans

maple syrup and lima beans
Serves 6  (1/2 cup Servings)



1/2  Cup  Raw bacon slices, diced 1/2"
1/4   Cup  Onions, diced 1/4"
1/2  Cup  Maple Syrup, pure or imitation
1/4  tsp. Ground black pepper
2   14.5 oz. Cans  Glory Foods ® Seasoned Lima Beans 14.5oz
2  ea. Raw bacon slices, cut in half





Directions:




1. Place the diced bacon and onions in a non-stick pan. Cook over moderate heat stirring occasionally until the onions are softened and starting to brown and the bacon is mostly cooked. 
2. Add the black pepper, maple syrup and limas beans to the pan. Mix until well combined. 
3. Pour the bean mixture into an 8"x8"x2" Casserole dish. Top the bean mixture with the raw bacon slices. 
4.  Bake in a 350° oven for 1 1/2 hours or until the beans are thickened.
